I've just returned from a
successful trip in Japan with several Star Wars actors,
including Scott Capurro (in white t-shirt at right), Dalyn
Chew, Mercedes Ngoh and Steven Spiers (left side of photo). We
had a great time with our host Abbey and his partner "The
Beautiful" Chi. We met LOTS of Japanese fans at two store
visits and a trading card event, as well as two private,
invitation-only events. When not "working," we all managed to
see the sights of Narita and Toyko, gaining a greater
appreciation for Japan, it's wonderful culture and its
citizens.
A personal highlight for me was
getting to voice a scene with Captain Tarpals
himself....twice!
Japanese Star Wars fans are
every bit as passionate as their peers around the planet,
displaying a love for signed action figures and trading cards.
I've never met a more polite group of fans at ANY event and
look forward to future trips to the Land of the Rising Sun
with more actors from the Star Wars universe.
